Can diapers go bad?

Posted by Baby by Jitta on

Can diapers go bad? This is a question commonly asked amongst parents. To put it simply, no, diapers do not have a shelf life or an expiration date. Though they don’t technically expire, we do not recommend storing them for more than two years as time does have its effects on diapers.

For instance, older diapers may be discolored, have less elasticity causing leaks, and may also be slightly less absorbent. If you do plan on storing diapers for long periods of time, fret not. By simply storing them in a cool and dry area, diapers can be kept for far longer than you would expect. From the feedback we have gathered, we have concluded that by ensuring the proper conditions in which the diapers are stored, the longevity of good condition diapers can be extended by up to a year.
